Boeing / Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche
Helikopter RAH-66 Comanche adalah helikopter masa depan Angkatan Perang AS untuk menggantikan helikopter UH-1, AH-1 Cobra, OH-6 dan OH-58 Kiowa. RAH-66 didesain sebagai helikopter "stealth" pertama di dunia dan diklasifikasikan sebagai helikopter "light attack". Heli ini beroperasi dengan internal bay berisi misil anti-udara dan anti-lapisan baja serta menggunakan material "stealth" untuk mengaburkannya dari radar musuh. Heli ini akan menjadi heli terbaik di dunia. Purwarupa heli ini pertama kali terbang pada 1996 dan purwarupa kedua pada akhir 1990an. Garis tajam pada desain heli ini diambil dari pesawat F-117 dan mempunyai sudut tajam dan "cross section" radar yang rendah.
RAH-66 mempunyai sistem rotor dengan 5-daun (blade) besar dan rotor yang lebih kecil pada bagian ekornya yang terlindung, seperti halnya heli Gazelle milik Perancis. Heli ini mempunyai penyimpanan senjata internal dan sayap ("terpotong") opsional yang memungkinkan stabilitas penambahan persenjataan, dengan resiko (jika sayap opsional dipasang) akan lebih terdeteksi oleh radar. Persenjataan standar heli ini adalah meriam General Electric tiga barel 20mm dalam sebuah sistem turret Giat. Pilot dan co-pilot (gunner) duduk bersebelahan pada kokpit dengan visibilitas yang baik.
Sistem penerbangan dan kontrol pada RAH-66 terdiri dari kontrol "helmet-mounted", kontrol siklik "sidestick", display peta 3D, sistem fly-by-wire dengan sebuah fitur "triple redundancy", pelacak Laser dan FLIR serta radar gelombang milimeter yang ditiru Apache Longbow.
Pada simulasi medan pertempuran, sistem RAH-66 akan sangat mendukung pertempuran dengan menembak kendaraan lapis baja dan pesawat musuh pada jarak jangkaunya. Akan tetapi proyek heli ini dibatalkan oleh AS karena dana pengembangan yang terlalu besar.

CAIC WZ-10
CAIC WZ-10 (Changhe Aircraft Industries Corporation / Wuzhuang Zhisheng) adalah sebuah tambahan badi keluarga helikopter serang, dengan desain dan model yang dibuat untuk digunakan oleh RRC.
Dari luar, WZ-10 agak mirip dengan desain milik Hughes AH-64 Apache. Dua awaknya duduk secara tandem dengan pilot di belakang (lebih tinggi) dan penembak di depan. Sayapnya mampu mengangkut banyak amunisi dan misil anti-tank. WZ-10 dipercaya mempunyai kemampuan anti-pesawat yang sangat baik jika dipersenjatai dengan misil udara-ke-udara jarak dekat TY-90. Persenjataan standar-nya termasuk meriam 23mm (dipasang didagunya).
Tenaganya dihasilkan oleh dua mesin turboshaft Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67C series. Dua mesin ini masing-masing mampu menghasilkan 1.531 tenaga kuda. Sistem ini memutar rotor utama 5-blade dan rotor ekor 4-blade. Helikopter ini dapat disetarakan dengan Denel Rooivalk dan Eurocopter Tiger.

Denel AH-2 Rooivalk (Kestrel)
Denel (selanjutnya Atlas) AH-2 Rooivalk (yang berarti sejenis burung elang) merupakan proyek domestik dan sangat ambisius dari Afrika Selatan. Pada saat pengembangannya, helikopter ini diharapkan menjadi helikopter terhebat yang pernah dibuat. Sayangnya karena pembengkakan biaya, minimnya produksi dan tidak adanya pesanan dari negara lain menjadikan desainnya ketinggalan jaman dan pada saat ini menjadi pertimbangan pemerintah mengenai nasip helikopter ini.
Rooivalk dibuat karena kebutuhan AU Afrika Selatan akan helikopter tempur yang lebih hebat. Atlas (sebelumnya Denel) membuat desain XH-1 Alpha sebagai bahan riset pengembangan helikopter. XH-1 didasarkan pada helikopter Perancis Aerospatiale Alouette III yang masih menggunakan teknologi tahun 1960an. XH-1 terbang pertama pada awal 1986 yang diikuti dua XTP-1 Beta yang dikonversi. Berdasarkan ters tersebut, mereka membuat XH-2 yang terbang pada 1990. Dari XH-2, dua lagi model pengembangan dibuat yaitu XDM dan EDM.
Produksi Rooivalks mulai diterima pada awal 1999 dengan pembatasan hanya 12 contoh. Versi AL juga masih dalam pertimbangan, akan tetapi karena banyaknya masalah sangat mungkin untuk dibatalkan. Status masa depan Rooivalks sampai saat ini masih dalam perdebatan.

Helikopter A 129 Mangusta ("Mongoose") dikembangkan sebagai helikopter varian seri A 109. Helikopter desain baru ini lebih besar dan sangat berbeda dengan pendahulunya. Helikopter yang diberi kode A 129 ini menjadi helikopter yang benar-benar baru. Selanjutnya, diklasifikasikan sebagai helikopter serang medium dengan peran sebagai pengintai bersenjata, A 129 menjadi heli utama angkatan bersenjata Italia. Proyek A 129 dimulai pada awal 1978 untuk memenuhi kebutuhan angkatan bersenjata Italia, akan tetapi produksi pertamanya dimulai pada akhir 1990 dan purwarupanya terbang pada 1983.
